       9.00 - 9.15      Ms. Katrín Jakobsdóttir, Minister of Education, Science and Culture, addresses the Forum and gives the award for the best content for children on the Internet

      9.15 – 9.30      Mr. Ögmundur Jónasson, Minister of the Interior introduces the Communications Strategy

      9.30 - 10.10   Mr. Lee Hibbard, coordinator for Internet Governance and Information Society at the Council of Europe explains current issues in Internet Governance

      10.10 - 10.30 Ms. Íris Kristín Andrésdóttir from the Icelandic Gaming Industry talks about the creative industries on the Internet and what needs to be in place for further development

      11.00 - 11.40 Dr. William Drake, Senior Associate at the Centre for International Governance of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, will provide an overview of current developments in global Internet governance, focusing in particular on ICANN, the IGF, and enhanced cooperation.

      11.40 - 12.00 Ms. Anna Kristína Lobers and Ms. Fanndís Logadóttir from SAFT Youth Panel talk about young users' view on the future of the Internet

      13.0    - 14.20   Workshops

      1.      How do we secure young people on the Internet and encourage them to use the Internet in a responsible way?
      The workshop is managed and moderated by Halldór Jörgensson, CEO of Microsoft Iceland. Ólafur Elínarsson from Capacent, Hrefna Sigurjónsdóttir from The National Parent's Association, Jenný Ingudóttir from The Public Health Institute and Margrét Júlía Rafnsdóttir from Save the Children, Iceland will be on the panel. Guðberg K. Jónsson, Project Manager for SAFT is managing and reporting from the workshop.

      2.      What are the rights on the Internet? What rights do we have to freedom of expression and information on the Internet? Is Iceland an island in a wide sense or do we have to seriously consider legislation and development in other countries when it comes to fundamental freedoms?
      The workshop is managed and moderated by Elfa Ýr Gylfadóttir, Head of Division of Media at the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture. Eiríkur Jónsson, and Eyvindur G. Gunnarsson, Associate Professors of Law at University of Iceland, Smári McCarthy, computer expert and one of the authors of the Parliamentary Resolution on freedom of expression and information and Þórir Ingvarsson from the Police will be on the panel. Agnes Guðjónsdóttir, lawyer at the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture will report from the workshop.

      3.      How do we secure the critical infrastructures in Iceland? Is there enough security? Do we need further defence systems?
      The workshop is managed and moderated by Hrafnkell V. Gíslason, the CEO of The Post- and Telecom Administration. Bragi Leifur Hauksson, Project Manager for electronic administration at The Social Insurance Administration, Jón Viggó Gunnarsson, CEO of THOR Data Center, Laufey Erla Jóhannesdóttir, Head of Security at Síminn Telecom and Stefán Snorri Stefánsson, from the net- and information security division at The Post and Telecom Administration will be on the panel. Anna Margrét Sigurðardóttir, Public Relations Officer at The Post- and Telecom Administration will report from the workshop.

      4.      “Let us assume that people want to get access to entertainment, culture and information via Internet in a lawful way”… Discussion on commerce, access and supply of digital material.
      The workshop is managed and moderated by Þorgeir Ólafsson at the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture. Eyjólfur Guðmundsson, Board Member of the Icelandic Gaming Industry, Flóki Ásgeirsson, Board Member of the Icelandic Society for Digital Freedoms, Örn Hrafnkelsson from the National and University Library of Iceland and Gylfi Blöndal from Gogoyogo will be on the panel. Eiríkur Þorláksson at the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture will report from the workshop. 

      5.      Building new business and work opportunities on the Internet. What are the strengths and weaknesses of the technical, political and legal structure in Iceland for new emerging companies who rely on the Internet?
      The workshop is moderated by María Rún Bjarnadóttir, Lawyer at the Ministry of the Interior. Alexander Picchietti, CEO of Basis, Guðmundur Gunnarsson, CEO of Farice, Hilmar Veigar Pétursson, CEO of CCP, Hjálmar Gíslason, CEO of Data Market and Internet entrepreneur and Huginn Freyr Þorsteinsson, Political Advicer to the Minister of Finance will be on the panel. Tryggvi Björgvinsson, Computer Engineer at the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture is managing and reporting from the workshop.

      6.      Using the Internet for education and training. Discussion on access to educational material on the Internet. Opportunities and threats. Reliability, quality, advantages and challenges.
      The workshop is moderated by Sigurjón Mýrdal at the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture. Salvör Gissurardóttir and and Þuríður Jóhannsdóttir, Assistant Professors at the School of Education at the University of Iceland, Sigurður Fjalar Jónsson, Teacher at Breiðholt College and employee at Hugur/AX and Sigurbjörg Jóhannesdóttir from the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture will be on the panel. The workshop is managed by Sigurjón Mýrdal and Sigurbjörg Jóhannesdóttir and Ásta María Reynisdóttir from the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture will report from the workshop.
