The Embassy of Iceland in Warsaw opened in 2022. In addition to Poland, the Embassy is also accredited to Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Romania and Ukraine. Our mission is to enhance political, economic and cultural ties between Iceland and Poland, along with the above-mentioned countries. Furthermore, the Embassy protects and assists, when needed, Icelandic nationals.
We participate in reinforcing Icelandic-Polish relations by promoting activities considering Icelandic history, culture and language, and providing general support to Icelandic companies operating in Poland.

Born May 8, 1967, in Reykjavik. Married to Mrs. Elinborg Thora Thorbergsdottir. They have four children, two grandsons and two hound dogs. Fluent in Icelandic, English and Danish and has a working knowledge of German. Mr. Jonsson counts singing, strumming his multiple guitars, reading, cycling and walking his dogs as his favorite past-times.
